BRASSERIE DE LA MULE
This Schaerbeek micro-brewery is a bit special because the brewmaster makes German type beers.
One of Brussels' latest microbreweries is located just a stone's throw from the Maison Communale de Schaerbeek, in the former stables built for the streetcar services, back in the days when it was horse-drawn. Schaerbeek is nicknamed the City of Donkeys, so when you mix it with a horse, you get a mule! This brewery is a little special in that Joël, the brewmaster, brews German-style beers (lager, hefeweizen, kölsch...) that are easy to drink, low in alcohol and inviting to conviviality, just like its indoor terrace.
