Former bistro with very good rooms in Saugues.

This former bistro has become an indispensable gastronomic rendezvous with Chef Benoît Cheese. It has been in existence since 1795. A cuisine full of wood flavours in a warm room where it is best to book, especially on Sunday lunchtime, the specialty is the gras of fat liver to the Pommes apples or beef fillet and its ceps mashed apple. The rooms are very good and will provide a well-deserved rest.

Logis. Closed from December to January. 10 rooms. Single room €95; double room €120. Half-board: €37. Breakfast €14 (dinner €23). Wifi free of charge. Catering (menu from approx. €28 to €32. The restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner except Sunday evening and Monday).

Voici nos impressions sur cette auberge. Le menu du jour affiché en extérieur côté rue n'était pas servi ce samedi. Nous avons choisi le menu à 29 € qui annonçait une cuisine à base de champignons. En fait dans nos assiettes il n'y avait que des échantillons de champignons et une glace qui asphyxiait complètement la saveur du mets. En plat principal la joue de veau compactée avec des légumes ne nous a pas convaincu. Fromages et desserts ont été bien accueillis. En conclusion nous sommes sortis globalement déçus.
