ST. MEDARD'S COLLEGIATE CHURCH
Romanesque church in Sauges housing the remains of Saint Bénilde.
The original Romanesque church collapsed, probably in the 16th century, and an original building was constructed, partially based on the old building, housing the remains of St Benilde. The different periods of construction are partially visible inside the nave, although the symmetry of the building has been respected. However, in 1968, the church, fortunately closed, collapsed again in part. The municipality then undertook the restoration of the vaults and in 1970 the renovation of the church was completed.
