DIORAMA SAINT BENILDE
An emblematic Lasallian site, with a dozen paintings depicting the life of Saint Benilde.
Saugues is well known for being a high Lasallian place of welcome and memory... Every year, Brother Bénilde is celebrated there in the "Maison Saint-Bénilde"! This welcome is mainly assured in the diorama presenting Saint Benilde in the very premises where he taught, in the heart of the village. A dozen paintings retrace the life of the saint. Brother Bénilde, teacher and headmaster of the school of Saugues for twenty-one years, was canonized in 1967. In the parish church, where a chapel is dedicated to him, many people come to meditate.
