MBWEHA CAMP

Mbweha Camp is nestled on the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park and offers magnificent views of the Eburru and Mau mountain ranges. Congreve Reserve is part of the larger conservation area known as Soysambu, which includes much of Elementaita within its borders. 10 rustic thatched lava stone cottages are surrounded by euphorbia candelabras, yellow bark acacia and other indigenous trees. Mbweha camp is only a few hours from Nairobi, but its relaxed atmosphere makes it feel close to it all. Being located outside a national park allows for many activities, including hiking, mountain biking and night safaris. Guests can also enjoy day trips to Nakuru National Park with the option of a gourmet bush lunch with spectacular views of the lake and national park. Being in the heart of the Soysambu Reserve means guests are enriched with history, as Soysambu is a World Heritage Site and a Ramsar site. Add to this the fact that it is an important birding area, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna with an array of 12,000 wild animals, including 10% of the world's population of the endangered colossus monkey.
