Located on the shores of Lake Victoria, the sanctuary is also home to buffalo, giraffe, many birds and reptiles, a few hippos and a couple of monkey species. The rare sitatunga antelope has been reported as well as leopards and hyenas. A peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy the natural beauty of the lake. Five camping areas are available for visitors.
