Market with stalls offering wool blankets, various fabrics and jewelry at attractive prices in Maralal.
Mainly run by women, the stalls are overflowing with camel or sheep wool blankets (shukas), printed fabrics in shimmering colours... They also sell samburus necklaces and bracelets made of beads of all colours. A treat for the eyes. You will be able to make good deals, to find more beautiful pieces than on the markets of craft industry of the capital, at attractive prices, however higher than those practised for the locals. Tourists are rare in this region, which is normal.
