Of the countless mini-bus companies, locally known asmatatus, that criss-cross the country, if you had to choose just one from and to Lodwar, it would be Quick Shuttle. Surely the most organized, safe and with vehicles in excellent condition. However, you won't escape the sporty driving that is still commonplace in Kenya. Allow around 5 hours by minibus from Lodwar to Kitale, 6 hours to Eldoret and 7 hours to Kakamega. Departures take place throughout the day, as long as there are enough passengers to fill the vehicles.
