Located on the edge of the river Talek, the northern boundary of the reserve, the Simba Lodge at Mara is, like its colleagues in Samburu and Naivasha, of excellent quality. Architecture is successful. The relatively spacious rooms are beautifully decorated and have a nice terrace with a superb view. Kitchen and service are correct but no longer. Large swimming pool with too few deckchairs… The lodge is extremely well located and it is not uncommon to cross herds of buffalo or giraffes at the edge of the lodge.
