The Mombasa Carnival is the biggest in Kenya. Floats, music and folk dances bring together more than 3,000 people.

With nearly 3,000 carnival-goers in costume, and some 50 floats, Mombasa's colorful, multicultural carnival is Kenya's biggest. Held in November on Moi Avenue, it showcases Kenya's multi-ethnicity, blending influences from Central Africa and Arab countries. The whole event is accompanied by a musical parade of folk dances. An original way to discover the country's second-largest city, and in particular Moi Avenue and its famous elephant tusks, which are decked out in color for a day.
