There was a time when Ernest Hemingway loved drinking his whisky by the famous African-shaped pool at The Lawford. Colonial in style, nestling in a tropical garden by the sea but still in the center of town, the hotel is a piece of Malindi history. It comprises 8 villas and 85 suites, with veranda or terrace. An ideal place for couples looking for a break to recharge their batteries after a Tsavo safari. A paradise of privacy and peace as soon as you reach the Lost Beach Club, one of the trendiest spots on the north coast.

Furnishings by artist Armando Tanzini, overlooking the ocean and garden, give Maison Chui an elegant yet wild atmosphere. Chui means leopard in Swahili.
