More important than Christmas, Three Kings Day is the day of gifts! The Three Wise Men parade around to reward good children.
During the Three Wise Men parade, Melchior, Gaspard and Balthazar reward the children who have been good. Competing with Santa Claus, the Three Wise Men remain an institution throughout Spain. In many families, children receive a small gift on Christmas Eve, but it is not until the arrival of the Three Kings that they receive a large gift. And children who have not been good only receive a small canvas bag filled with sugar coals. In Ibiza, the procession of the Three Kings takes place in the streets of Eivissa.
