Known as the Torre del Pirata ("pirate tower", this nickname comes from a new one of Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, Los muertos mandan (Les Morts command, 1909), this tower stands on a cliff facing the islets of Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell, offering an absolutely splendid panorama. Its construction was completed in 1763 to protect the coastline from the attacks coming from Algeria. To access it, you will have to leave your car on the road of Cala d'Hort and follow the path to the cliffs. The walk takes about 30 minutes.
