Rock paintings from the Punic era, that of the Carthaginian civilization in the Sa Cova des Vi cave discovered in 1917
The cave called Sa Cova des Vi, located 50 meters above sea level, was discovered in 1917 by the French archaeologist Henri Breuil. It is difficult to access, so good shoes are necessary, but the view over the bay of Sant Antoni and the coastline of Cala Salada is magnificent. According to the latest studies, it is estimated that the cave paintings on the island date back to the Punic period, that of the Carthaginian civilization.
