ESTANY DES PEIX
A saltwater lagoon located in the north of the island, classified as a Special Protection Area for Birds by UNESCO
In the north of the island, close to the Estany Pudent, the Estany des Peix ("pond of the fishes") is a saltwater lagoon classified as a "Special Protection Area for Birds" by Unesco, separated from the sea by a thin strip of dunes and watered by a narrow opening. Small boats are moored on these placid and transparent waters. The lagoon is cut by small sandy beaches (swimming, sailing, kayaking...). At nightfall, the setting sun draws in reflections the silhouettes of the boats on the water. A beautiful sight!
