The most photographed building in Palma after the cathedral, characterized by its precious façade

After the cathedral, Can Forteza Rey is the most photographed building in Palma! Built in 1909 by the jeweller Josep Forteza Rey Aguiló, its design was inspired by the work of the Catalan modernists and in particular by the works of Gaudi, such as the famous Parc Güell or the Casa Batlló in Barcelona. Can Forteza Rey stands out for its precious facade covered with sculptures, fragments of polychrome ceramics and plant, floral and animal motifs, including a monster's head flanked by two dragons, sculpted on the second floor.
