SEAFOOD CONSOLATION
A rather impressive 3-storey building where an old gate from the docks in the garden remains
This building once housed the Consulate of the Sea, created in 1326, the seat of the jurisdiction of maritime affairs of the Crown of Aragon. Its role was to regulate trade and merchants' rights. On its three-storey façade, the Plateresque loggia with five arches and a balustrade overlooking the sea front is particularly noteworthy. The building, rather impressive, dates from the beginning of the 17th century. Today it is the seat of the Presidency of the Government of the Autonomous Community. In the garden there is still the old gate of the docks.
