MARROIG SOUND
House in Deià with some volumes of the famous book of the archduke dedicated to the Balearic Islands
Son Marroig is a house that belonged - among others - to the Archduke Luis-Salvador of Austria. He acquired it at the beginning of the 19th century and renovated it, breathing new life into the property's extensive gardens. His most famous contribution, however, is the construction of an imposing Carrara marble belvedere overlooking the Sa Forada peninsula. On the first floor, the man's memorabilia bear witness to a privileged existence, and there are a few volumes of the archduke's famous book on the Balearics.
