MARIA'S PUIG
Address with a view, at the top of the hill sheltering a hikers' refuge
A 3 km walk allows you to visit the Ermita de Puig de María, located at the top of the hill. It was built in the 13th and 14th centuries and is a refuge for hikers. It used to be a monastery that served as a school for the girls of the nobility. Legend has it that three young girls saw the Virgin Mary appear here. To get there, park at Km.51,8 of the Ma-2200 road, at the entrance to Pollença, and follow the only path, indicated by signs. The view of the bay of Pollença is splendid all along.
