RUINS OF THE ROMAN CITY OF POLLENTIA
Site with a house called "The Two Treasures", a forum transformed into a necropolis and a Roman theater
These ruins are those of the ancient city of Pollentia, founded by the Romans in 123 BC. The site contains three areas of interest: the house known as "The Two Treasures", the forum and the Roman theatre. The forum contains the foundations of civil and religious buildings, the most important of which appears to be the temple dedicated to the divine triad Jupiter, Juno and Minerva. At the end of the 3rd century AD, Pollentia was taken and plundered and the forum transformed into a necropolis.

Le cadre est tranquille, dans un champ, et les plus malins repéreront la présence de figuiers, amandiers et grenadiers sauvages à proximité ;-), pour réaliser une petite cueillette en prime.
