Sainte-Chapelle, listed as a historic monument, was home to the tombs of three counts of Montpensier.
The palatine chapel, in flamboyant Gothic style, was built in 1475 on the initiative of Louis I of Bourbon. In 1574, it miraculously escaped the fire that destroyed the neighboring castle. Classified as a historical monument, it housed the tomb of three counts of Montpensier and would have contained a relic of Christ. Although its interior is not accessible, there are still white marble statues representing Louis XII and the Virgin. It is located on the Place Saint-Louis, where Gabriel d'Aubiac, known as the Bel Athis, lover of Queen Margot, was executed.
