Site with cyclopean walls with one of the most important prehistoric remains of Majorca
The Hospitalet Vell site is located in the southern part of the municipality of Manacor, close to the coast towards Calas de Mallorca. It is one of the most important prehistoric remains in Majorca. It includes ruins from the Talayotic period to the Roman period. The singularity of the site lies in the discovery of cyclopean walls, far removed from Talayotic architecture, possibly linked to the recruitment of mercenary troops in the 3rd century BC.
