ILLA DE LLATZERET
Llatzeret Island was built in the eighteenth century during the Spanish domination
Llatzeret Island is steeped in Menorcan history, as it was built in the 18th century during the Spanish domination. In response to the plague, which arrived on the island by foreign ships, the construction of Llatzeret was ordered, a set of structures designed to quarantine infected people. This complex was used for a century. Part of it is now dedicated to hosting congresses, and the rest of the island is open to tourists who want to take a step back into Menorca's past.
