Located just next to the neoclassical Church of the Carme (1750), this former convent of the Carmelite order, which became a courthouse and a penitentiary, is now home to the capital's food market: you can find fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, liqueurs, charcuterie, but also small stalls selling food on the go, which are quite recommendable. There is an underground car park next door. The nearby Terrassa d'Es Claustre is one of the archipelago's leading artistic centres.
