This restaurant is a pleasant surprise. Its chef, Maître Restaurateur Lionel Marchepoil, has worked in the kitchens of Michelin-starred Jean-Yves Bath, François Chalut of Les Toques d'Auvergne, and Régis Marcon, another Michelin-starred chef from Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid. The menu focuses on a few local specialties, as if to showcase them to best advantage: tripoux auvergnat sauce marchand de vin, entrecôte with Fourme d'Ambert sauce, and charcuterie and truffade. A real treat. We'll be back for more: second course, please!
