BODEGAS BINIFADET

Founded in 1979, Bodegas Binifadet began its revolution in 2004. It was at this time that the vineyard underwent a profound modernization and went beyond the production that until then had been destined only for family consumption, allowing for a wider marketing, both nationally and internationally. Based in Sant Lluís (a village built by the French during their seven-year occupation of the island in the 18th century), Binifadet is now a major exhibitor in the island's agri-food sector, renowned for the quality of its products. Located in the south-east of Menorca, the geological and meteorological conditions of the area are perfectly suited to the cultivation of vines. The vineyard has been awarded the "Vino de la Tierra Isla de Menorca" (Menorca Island Wine) designation and produces several wines (white, rosé, red, sparkling, etc.) based mainly on Merlot, Syrah or Chardonnay grapes. Binifadet also offers a wide range of by-products made from the wine produced here, such as jams, a very good macerated goat's cheese, and oenotherapy products. The current structure, modern and functional, allows on the one hand to bring together all the parameters necessary for the elaboration of the wine (underground levels), but also to offer guided tours of the facilities - the guides will tell you some of the secrets of production - which include a tasting of three wines of your choice, accompanied by cheese with wine and jams.
