SANT LLUÍS CHURCH
A church located in the small village of Sant Lluís with an impressive façade
Located in the small village of Sant Lluís, this church was built during the French occupation according to the plans of the architect Antoine de Allemand. Three years after the beginning of the works, in 1763, the French troops were forced to leave the island, leaving the church without a presbytery, a sacristy or a bell tower. It was not until 1783 that the temple was completed, and ten more years for the bell tower. The building remains apparently very simple, but its façade is impressive and contrasts with the size of the surrounding houses.
