Le Signal du Luguet, a stratovolcano at Anzat-le-Luguet.
The Cézallier was a stratovolcano (a volcano formed of stratified layers of lava or lava and ash) active five million years ago. Its 1,551-metre-high silhouette has evolved considerably as glaciers have eroded it. Today, the landscape is gentle and rolling. The Signal-du-Luguet summit is the highest point in the Cézallier. To get close to it, follow the green trail from Parrot (approx. 15 km). A shorter hike will take you all the way around (7 km and 2h30 walk).
