QUARTER TORRE
The Torre d'en Quart, built in the 14th century, has been rehabilitated as an artisanal cheese production site
This sober 14th-century building is typical of the town's defensive architecture. It was owned by Bernardo Quart (who received the tower from King Alfonso III of Aragon), one of whose descendants, Juan Quart, was knighted in 1579. When the tower lost its defensive function, it was incorporated into the rest of the town. Today, it has been rehabilitated as an artisanal site for the production and sale of cheese. Typical charcuterie and other local products are also available.
