It is often confused with Es Cranc, but they are two different restaurants although they are the same property. Cranc Pelut is located at the entrance to Fornells, at the beginning of the port. If Es Cranc is the specialist in caldereta, Cranc Pelut is one of the best places in Menorca to eat paella. A word of advice: don't take an appetizer, the paella for two is absolutely gigantic (you can eat it for four without any problem). The kindness of the waiters and the pretty view of the port do the rest. An excellent address.

Hem anat perquè voliem menjar la famosa caldereta i la veritat es que ens ha decepcionat molt. La llagosta estava sosa i no tenia gens de gust, en canvi el suquet era molt bo. 85 euros per persona. No val la pena que us ho gasteu. Al preguntar si la llagosta ja estava feta feia hores, m'han dit que la tenien cuita ja del mati.

Sensacional comida en Fornells. Todo fue perfecto, desde la llegada, los entrantes, el arroz, el café y el licor al que nos invitaron. Creo que puede ser uno de los mejores arroces que he probado, punto perfecto, sabor excepcional y calidad del marisco superior. El entrante y el pan estuvieron a la altura; los precios muy acordes con la calidad. Por último el servicio fue más que correcto. Un 10.

Hemos estado 2 veces y la comida no nos termina de convencer. La primera vez probamos arroz negro y estaba bastante bueno pero no para tirar cohetes. La segunda vez comimos arroz del senyoret y estaba duro, le faltaban unos minutos para hacerse bien. Nos lo sirvieron con gambas crudas y nos sorprendió porque nunca lo habíamos comido así. Nos dijeron que es como se ponen... Con todos los restaurante que hay en Fornells no repetiremos en éste. Lo bueno son las vistas y que siempre tienen sitio, al contrario que en el Es Cranc que hay que reservar con más tiempo.
