The patron saint of Ferreries is celebrated every year. The event includes folk music and a parade through the streets.
Sant Bartomeu (Saint Bartholomew) festivities date back to the 16th century. The patron saint of Ferreries, a municipality in the center of Menorca, is celebrated every year with great joy and good humor by the villagers. Folk music and parades in traditional costumes are the order of the day. Traditionally, just before the qualcada (horse cavalcade) starts, a man on a donkey rides through the village square, playing a popular tune on flute and drum.
