The country's leading airline was created in 2010 from the merger of TAM (a Brazilian company) and LAM (a Chilean company). It serves 42 destinations in Brazil and 20 international destinations, including many South American cities. For round-trip domestic flights, it is competitive, but for a one-way trip, it's better to use a low-cost carrier. The South American airline operates flights between Europe and Brazil, but there are no direct flights to or from France.
