A must in Santa, this establishment with its white tiled walls has a charm that appeals to tourists and locals alike. People come here for the daily special at lunchtime, for black bean fritters, kale fritters, dried meat fritters or the more traditional tomato, cheese and herb fritters. It doesn't take long to get into the spirit of Santa Teresa, chatting with your neighbor and reacquainting yourself with the world. Excellent and hearty feijoada too. It's also one of the best caipi in Rio, according to our friend Fred. An institution with a local soul.
