Enjoying a good ice cream in the hot Carioca summers is always an intense pleasure. Some have described discovering a Mil Frutas store as Ali Baba's discovery of the diamond cave. The Mil Frutas ice cream shop in Ipanema is one of the branches of one of Rio's best ice cream parlors (several other locations in Rio, including one at Shopping Leblon). It also serves juices, coffees, soups and salads. The variety of flavors is almost as infinite as that of Brazilian fruit. Some contain alcohol. A very good place.
