BAOBA
Baobà, or baobab in French, inevitably refers to Africa. This friendly store in the bohemian and trendy Santa Teresa is a showcase for Afro-Brazilian fashion. In 2005, the artist and activist Tenka Dara Pinho Silva went to Mozambique and found immense sources and resources of inspiration that she brought back in her luggage. The Baoba concept was born: an Afro-Brazilian fashion, which combines traditional design and modernity through a vast choice of models and cuts. Fashion is a way to fight against prejudice.
