Brazilians, like Westerners in general, love shopping malls. Shopping Leblon reflects the district's socio-economic profile. It's certainly the chicest shopping mall in the Zona Sul, if not the whole of Rio. In a rather cool atmosphere (due to air-conditioning), you'll find a succession of luxury ready-to-wear brands, as well as a few nice places to have lunch, such as Rascal, on the3rd floor of the store, or to have a coffee. Strolling around is a spectacle in itself, and a lesson in Carioca sociology.
