A little way from the South Zone, in the residential district of Barra de Tijuca, the self-proclaimed largest shopping mall in Latin America (a title that must be envied...), Barrashopping boasts almost 540 stores (4 km of windows), a theater, a cinema complex and 42 restaurants. A real city to spend your time in on a rainy day, with Brazil's only monorail transporting customers from the parking lot to the shopping center. It's pretty but completely useless, so it's much quicker to go on foot.
