It would be sacrilege not to go to Sacrilégio. In Lapa, which for some is losing its sambist soul, Sacrilégio, like Carioca da Gema, remains a sure bet for Lapa nights. As is often the case in Rio, you can't tell whether it's a bar or a concert hall, but it's a place dedicated to samba. Here, you can eat and savour caipis (in moderation, of course). The atmosphere and decor are iconoclastic and irreverent. It's a little hot on the mezzanine, but that's probably due to the atmosphere. A place to discover.
