The Clube dos Democráticos is a vestige of a Brazil from another time, in another Rio before modernity and emergence. In this gigantic ballroom, inaugurated more than 150 years ago, in 1867, loudspeakers broadcast samba or northern forró. In an Art Deco setting, the crowd sways like the devils! As is often the case in Brazil, it's ideal for those who want to dance. It's obligatory to take to the dancefloor, and it's easy to find a rider to guide you! Long queues at weekends, so get there early.
