BAR VELHO ADONIS

This listed "pé sujo " is worth a detour on its own in the northern part of the city. Since 1954, it has been serving excellent cod croquettes. This vast Portuguese-inspired establishment serves excellent ice-cold beer, and for those who love Portuguese cuisine, it's also one of Rio's best addresses. The menu is rich and varied. Meat, cod of course (Portuguese tradition obliges), sandwiches and petiscos have been delighting guests for almost 70 years. Wine, cachaça, aperitifs and beer accompany your meals.
