People come to Armazem Senado to have a drink with friends, eat and listen to samba... or samba. We've arbitrarily chosen to place it in the "club" category. Indeed, many, including former Rio mayor Eduardo Paes, consider the Armazem Senado to be Rio's best bar for rodas de samba. This very Carioca establishment, opened in 1907, used to be a store whose stalls can still be seen behind the counter. As a result, Saturdays from 2 p.m. onwards take on a very Carioca dimension. Worth knowing.
