Founded in 1959, this school in the eponymous neighborhood is strong in its desire to link culture and samba forever. Amaury jorio gathered a good number of samba dancers in his house, to create this new samba school. It was immortalized in 1972 thanks to a telenovela and the first titles came from 1980. Eight times winner. '
Imperatriz Leopoldinense was the first samba school to have a cultural department, in order to help in the preparation of themes and to carry out educational activities with the members of its community
