Although hang-gliding is now less popular than paragliding, it was historically one of the first ways to fly over Rio "with your own wings", like Icarus. It's still magical to descend from the morro de São Conrado and land on the beach. Rio Tandem offers both. Hang-gliding and paragliding instructors offer jumps from the Pedra Bonita. Of course, flights are made in tandem. The pilot and passenger jump from the Pedra Bonita, and the instructors direct the flight.
