MUSEU VILLA-LOBOS
Museum with three rooms featuring a permanent exhibition of scores, instruments, various objects...
The small late 19th-century house houses a collection of personal objects belonging to Brazil's most famous classical composer, Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959), author of the Bachianas brasileiras. The museum was founded in 1960 by his second wife, Dona Arminda, and the permanent exhibition occupies three rooms featuring scores, correspondence, photographs, videos, instruments, miscellaneous objects and videos. Interesting museum music program. In the garden, a small acoustic conch allows open-air concerts.
