INDIAN MUSEUM
Museum with a small wooden hut in the garden and a small store selling native crafts at the exit
The handsome, rose-tinted colonial mansion dating from 1880 houses one of Latin America's most important collections on the continent's indigenous peoples and cultures, featuring texts, images, films, videos and objects of all kinds (pottery, musical instruments, ceremonial objects, objects from the tribes of the Xingu and Para regions). In the museum garden is a small wooden hut built by the Guarani Indians of Bracui. Unfortunately, the museum is closed until further notice. Only the garden remains open to visitors.
