This small folklore museum is well worth a visit. Right next to the Museu da República, it brings together objects relating to the lifestyles and values of Brazilian society (religion, festivals, work, etc.). A fine collection of disguises, costumes and works by Brazilian artists. Through sculptures, figurines and paintings, this museum reveals the extreme richness of Brazil's popular arts and traditions, showing the richness of a diversity that has long been obscured.
