This beautiful urban park with its many lakes and gardens was once the residence of the imperial family. It's one of the Cariocas' favourite weekend resorts, with sports activities, picnics and visits to Emperor João VI's St. Christopher's Palace. Unfortunately, in September 2018, the Museu Nacional, at the heart of the park, was completely destroyed by flames, a trauma for the entire country...
