These two beaches are two natural wonders little known to tourists and even to Cariocas. Grumari is the most south-westerly beach in Rio, very wild, surrounded by mountains and the Mata Atlântica. Wild and beautiful... but still almost an hour's drive from Ipanema!
Abricó beach, just to the east of Ipanema, is a beautiful naturist beach in the Grumari nature reserve. It's not very easy to get to. A must-see!
