Urca is undoubtedly a little corner of paradise at the foot of the Sugar Loaf. This sought-after neighborhood, home to a large number of military personnel, has a small beach, just like the neighborhoods in the southern zone, called "Côté mer" by the Petit Futé. The small beach at Urca, at the foot of the morro of the same name, would be wonderful if it weren't regularly unsuitable for swimming. The view over Botafogo Bay is well worth a visit. Stop off at Bar Urca, the famous beachside bar, or Garota Da Urca to enjoy the view.
