PRAIA VERMELHA
A small, popular beach in a haven of peace, perfect for relaxing after enjoying the climb to the top of Sugarloaf
It's a little-known beach in Rio de Janeiro. Vermelha Beach (said to be red with the blood of the Indians massacred by the Portuguese conquistadores in the 17th century) is a haven of peace between the morro d'Urca and the morro de Leme, just off Guanabara Bay. You can come here for a rest after enjoying the climb to the top of Sugar Loaf, and even dip your feet in (but not more than that, as swimming is not really recommended...). This small, popular beach is much less crowded than the larger beaches in the southern zone.

Profitez de cette même vue au restaurant Terra Brasilis en dégustant deux caipirinha et un bobo de camarão, plat typique brésilien, très copieux.
